Rev. Richard Morgan (Marks Tey) writes:
“It's great to see that God is stirring up people to pray. My hope is that this new 'prayernet' will be an encouragement to many to engage deeper with God in interceding for the town, for their neighbours and for the churches. I also pray that it will strengthen the knowledge we have of our unity as churches in the Lord Jesus. I know that Teresa's vision is for the prayernet to serve and enable people from across every different church and denomination.
We've yet to see the end of what God is calling his church to in terms of drawing together to pray. There is, according to Jesus, power when we agree together in prayer. One of the strengths of joining people together from across the churches is that we will grow stronger in discerning the Holy Spirit's call to the church. As we do that, we will reach a better agreement together in our prayer. “
Simon Rennie (Kingsland Church Lexden) writes: "It is with a real sense of excitement and relief that I embrace the Colchester Prayernet. I believe this timely initiative will be of great significance for changing the spiritual climate over our town. I am well up for it and know in other towns and cities in our country, effective evangelism and lasting social transformation have flowed from continuous and consistent grassroots prayer. "
